Show your disgust over what Arroyo has done to the country!!!

There are two anti Cha Cha events scheduled this week. The first is on Wednesday, 10 December, we are asked to gather at St. Peter’s on Commonwealth at 10:00am, ready to walk to the gates of Batasan not long after. This activity is being organized by farmers longing for CARPER that are anti Cha Cha, CEAP, MAPSA, members of the CBCP, C4CC, Code NGO, Akbayan, Busina.

The second is scheduled on Friday, 12 December, on the corners of Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas, Makati, at 4:00pm. This one is organized primarily by UNO, Bayan, people’s organizations. The Liberal Party, Jesus is Lord Movement and Bangon are going to send contingents, various politicians like Erap Estrada, Jojo Binay, Mar Roxas, Chiz Escudero and Ping Lacson are expected to attend. Office folk in the area are expected to join in.

The Magdalo is a national movement that advocates good governance and social justice. Its vision is to have a peaceful, progressive and prosperous Country with a united Filipino citizenry.

The Magdalo was founded by a group of reformist officers and men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who upheld their Constitutional mandate as the protector of the people and the state, and bravely fought the corrupt and oppressive Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo regime. The group’s members were eventually incarcerated for their convictions. However, even after several years of detention, they remain steadfast in their belief that the Filipino people deserve a better government.

Today, the Magdalo symbolizes courage in the face of adversity; honesty and integrity in public service; and high sense of patriotism and nationalism.

The Magdalo believes that the only way towards its vision is to have a united, responsible and empowered citizenry. To this end, the Magdalo decided to open its doors to people from all walks of life, who share the same dreams and aspirations for our Country. Thus, the Samahang Magdalo was born.

Who can join?

The following are the basic qualifications to become a member of the Samahang Magdalo:

• Filipino citizens
• 18 years old and above
• Must be willing to adhere to the principles and advocacies of the Magdalo

How to join?

Interested individuals can simply download and fill-out the application form attached below. Submit the said application form to designated coordinators in your area or send it to us via mail at:

Once your application is approved, you will be issued an official membership identification card that will allow you to join official Magdalo activities.

2. Support the activities of the Magdalo.
3. Observe the Samahang Magdalo Code of Conduct.
